We love summer here at Sweets and Treats. We’ve been patiently waiting to share our first summer Sweetscape, and that time has come! Today we are so excited to share with y’all our Watermelon Sweetscape! This simple party setup is full of watermelon party ideas and supplies right from our shop. We can’t wait any longer…let’s dive right in! You are going to LOVE all the pink and green in this theme.
All of our sweetscapes begin with a sprinkle mix that we can’t get enough of and morphs into a full party developed around the theme. We knew we had to have a perfect blend of pinks in both light and dark colors as well as the perfect balance of bold black colors for those seeds!
Watermelon Party Ideas
Watermelon Party Table
Eek! Can you guys even stand how cute this little party is?! We’re beginning to wonder if we should just have a watermelon party every week now until the end of summer. What do you think? Too much? There’s just something about celebrating the end of school with a perfectly classic summer fruit theme. These are some of our favorite summer party supplies to put together!
This started off inspired by the colors of our watermelon sprinkles mix, Melon Cooler. We pulled all sorts of supplies from our shelves in different shades of pink and green, with little pops of black to represent watermelon seeds.
For the table we layered three different colors to give things a whole lot of POP and sprinkled a few seeds table confetti made with our Silhouette, yay free! You can make any kind of table confetti this way – like we used in our Pizza Party a few weeks ago!
We used some of our green and white ice cream cups filled with slices of watermelon for a perfect watermelon birthday party treat. They were the perfect compliment to our plates.
Watermelon Party Cupcakes Cake
The cupcakes we decided to shape like a watermelon slice. They were the center of the party of course! Baked by The Sprinkle Factory, using her signature swirl, these guys couldn’t have been more perfect lined up at a centerpiece.
The edges of the green cupcakes got a splash of Melon Cooler sprinkles, and the pink cupcakes got a few black sugar pearls for seeds. The cupcakes were baked in Forest Green, Green, and Pink BakeBright cupcake liners.
Watermelon Party Sprinkles
We can’t deny Melon Cooler being one of our favorite summer sprinkles. Currently tied with Tropic Like It’s Hot of course. Summer color are just a mood booster don’t you think? Most sprinkles in this theme have lots more white and lighter colors. We went with a darker color palette with deeper, brighter sprinkle colors and love how they come out!
Watermelon Party Supplies
This really is the the cutest round up of ideas ever! Don’t worry we’ll link all of the party supplies we used below. This party would be just as fun if you added pops of red party supplies in as well.
The fun thing about our InstaParties is that you can mix and match to make them your own. We pull together all the colors from our best selling sprinkle mix with pops of bright colors to match as well as a nice combination of patterns to compliment the theme.
Check out our Watermelon Party Supplies post from a few weeks ago where we gathered a similar color scheme using slightly different products and shared some fun cupcake ideas!
Watermelon Party Sweets
We can’t wrap up this watermelon party ideas post without our favorite summer idea ever! Instead of typical party ice cream, we found these adorable watermelon pops at the local grocery store. They needed a few seeds, and our black sugar pearls did just the trick. Hello DIY dessert! But the best idea of all is to grab one of our cupcake liners and make a quick “catch” for popsicle drips. A life saver when you have a group of kids running around hyped up on watermelon popsicles – they are sure to make a mess.
Watermelon Paper Straws
Last but certainly not least we love to share a paper straw combo to fit our party themes. For this watermelon party we paired up this cute pink, black, and green combo. With hundreds of paper straws in the shop, we can’t ever seen to have enough combinations! We have some watermelon paper straws too if you wanted to add some pops of red to tie it all in.
Watermelon Party Favors
For favors you could send home one of the swirl to watermelon cupcakes with some Melon Cooler sprinkles for some DIY decorating. Another idea is to have solid plates that each person decorates with the cut cutout seeds for some fun DIY craft watermelon plates.
To further coordinate for, you could add some solid colored paper plates and other solid color coordinating decorations to complement this watermelon themed party! This would be such a fun 1st birthday party theme too.
We hope this post shows you some really fun, easy, and very inexpensive ways to throw an epic Watermelon Party! Whether it’s for end of school or upcoming themed birthday, this pink, green, and white theme is sure to win over your attendees. After all, watermelon is a favorite summer fruit!
Now that we have the theme all laid out, let’s talk about the versatility! This theme is a great for summer events but it also makes an incredible One In A Melon first birthday theme as well as a pool side bachelorette event during the hot summer months. These colors are so classic, you can really make this theme a unique event!
