These snowman hot chocolate bombs are great holiday-neutral gifts…or just fun to make for any reason when the weather gets colder! Sink them into a mug of warm milk and you get a tasty and sweet hot cocoa surprise.

We love hot cocoa bombs here at Sweets and Treats, if it isn’t obvious. We talk about them all the time, for literally any holiday that takes place when it’s cold…or even might take place when it’s cold. (Back-to-school hot cocoa bombs are totally not out of the question for those in far-north climates…) They’re just adorable, customizable, and truly easy to make!
Everyone appreciates hot cocoa bombs around the end-of-year holidays. Today, however, we want to share a tutorial for hot chocolate bombs that are suitable during any part of winter! Anyone from any part of the world can appreciate a snowman hot chocolate bomb like these ones—even if they’ve never built a snowman before. Maybe especially if they’ve never built a snowman before!

By the way: in this post, we’ll actually share with you how to make two kinds of hot chocolate bombs! We have supplies for snowman hot chocolate bombs as we said, but also matching winter-themed hot chocolate bombs, too.
Let’s go!

Snowman Hot Chocolate Bombs: Ingredients & Supplies
Ingredients:
- White almond bark: You’ll use these for both your snowman hot chocolate bombs and your winter hot chocolate bombs—it’s the outer coating of the bomb itself.
- Warm Hugs sprinkle mix: You’ll use these to form the face on your snowman hot chocolate bomb, since the mix has carrots and black “coal” eyes! If you need more black sugar pearls, we also sell them separately.
- Blue candy melts: You’ll melt these and drizzle it over your winter-themed hot cocoa bombs!
- Winter-themed sprinkle mixes: For your winter bombs. We highly recommend using our Pastel Snowflake, Snow Queen, or Jack Frosting mixes! (Or even…all three!) Put these on immediately after drizzling the blue candy melt over the winter bombs.
- Hot cocoa mix: Can’t have hot cocoa bombs without cocoa mix, of course. When the bomb melts, the mix is released into the mug. Put this in both the snowman and winter bombs!
- Mini marshmallows and sprinkles: Even more hot chocolate bomb fillings! Use any extra sprinkles you have.
Supplies:
- Hot cocoa bomb mold: We sell one right here at Sweets and Treats (and it’s really easy to use!) You’ll use this to actually form the two separate halves of your bombs.
- Decorator bag/bottle: Optional, but makes it easier to drizzle on the blue candy melts.

Now if you are new to making Hot Chocolate Bombs, head on over and get all the details and step-by-step photos for creating them yourself.
