Let’s get this straight, there is no snack that involves popcorn that we will ever say no to. Add chocolate, sprinkles, and a festive theme and we’re basically sold forever. We’ve been having fun making easy red, white, and blue snacks for the 4thof July and what’s easier and to whip up than patriotic popcorn? Topped with colored white chocolate and patriotic sprinkles, it’s the yummiest and easiest 4th of July you’ll make!
This popcorn really is so super simple and perfect for the 4th of July. It doesn’t require you to even turn on the oven! Even better yet, it can be made in five minutes. Five whole minutes! Naturally we also took this opportunity to use one of our favorite patriotic sprinkle mixes, Fire Cracker! We loved the idea of adding a little crunch to this snack but you could easily add our Stars and Stripes Sprinkle Mix or Little Man Sprinkle Mix as well.
Patriotic Popcorn Recipe:

6-7 cups of popped popcorn
- 1 cup of white chocolate
- ¼ cup blue candy coating chocolate
- ¼ cup of red candy coating chocolate
- ¼ cup sprinkles
- Pour 6 cups of popcorn in large mixing bowl.
- Melt white chocolate and pour over popcorn. Gently stir white chocolate into the popcorn. If you feel there is too much chocolate add your last cup of popcorn. You want a nice thin coat.
- Spread the popcorn out onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet.
- Melt red and blue chocolate in separate bowls and pour into piping bags or ziplock bags.
- Once the bags are cool enough to handle (but still warm), cut the tip and drizzle over popcorn. Add sprinkles.
- Enjoy your yummy patriotic popcorn!
