If you are an Oreo lover…and honestly, who isn’t, then you will love these Oreo Balls. We start with crushed oreo cookies and cream cheese, do I have your attention?
Great! Let’s get started…

Patriotic Oreo Balls: Ingredients and Utensils
Ingredients:
- Oreos: any flavor will work just fine, you will want to crush the whole cookie including the cream filling
- Cream cheese: one 8 ounce block, and be sure it’s soft
- White Almond Bark: you can also use any white melting chocolate, although we have found that the almond bark is easiest to work with
- Candy Melts: red and blue, these are optional, but really fun to use for decorating the oreo balls
- Sprinkles: any of our Patriotic Sprinkles that you like will work just fine. We used our Patriotic Stars and Firecracker sprinkle mixes
Utensils:
- Food processor: to crush the oreo cookies
- Large mixing bowl: to mix together the oreos and cream cheese. You can also use a stand mixer if you like
- Microwave safe bowls: you will need to melt the chocolate and candy melts
- Baking sheet
- Parchment paper
- Small cookie dough scoop
- Plastic squeeze bottle, for melted chocolate drizzles, optional but super easy to use

How To Make Patriotic Oreo Balls
Line cookie sheet with parchment paper
Crush whole Oreo cookies in food processor into fine crumbs. Add the crumbs to a large bowl, then mix in the cream cheese.
Using a small cookie dough scoop, form the mixture into a ball. Roll the ball between your hands until it’s smooth. Place on lined cookie sheet.
Chill in refrigerator for at least 30 minutes (longer is fine, though!).
Break almond bark into squares and place in microwave safe bowl.
Start heating with 1 minute, stir. Heat for 20-30 second intervals, stirring after each heating. Stop when there are a few bits of unmelted chocolate left, then stir until completely melted.
Using a fork, dip the Oreo ball into the chocolate and shake off excess.
Place on lined cookie sheet, removing from fork with another fork or knife.
Let Oreo ball harden. (NOTE: If you’re using white chocolate, you may need to dip Oreo balls a second time.)
After the white chocolate is hardened, now it’s time to decorate.

Be sure to add the sprinkles immediately after the last coating of chocolate.
To add the red and blue chocolate, melt about half of the bag of candy melts in a microwave safe bowl using the same directions as above.
Then transfer the melted chocolate to a small squeeze bottle, and drizzle the coated oreo balls.
Immediately add the sprinkles.

The fun thing about Oreo Balls is they can be made in any flavor or color. Make them for your next celebration and let us know what you think!
Have leftovers? Use them on a dessert board too!
