Why use cakesicle molds? They’re the best way to make a cakesicle, and they allow you to get extremely creative with little effort! In this post, we talk a little about our favorite molds and why we love them.

We’ve talked a lot about cakesicles before, but as a brief overview again…they’re awesome popsicle-like treats, sometimes in wonderful shapes like hearts or bunnies! Think cake pops, but a bit bigger and somehow even more fun. And cakesicles, thankfully, aren’t limited to special high-end events, either. You can make them at home with the use of a cakesicle mold!
We might even say a cakesicle mold is the most important tool you’ll need to make a cakesicle. If you’re wondering why to use a cakesicle mold at all, we have you covered in this post!

Why Use Cakesicle Molds?
The big reason to use a cakesicle mold: it makes cakesicles super easy to create.
You may have looked at our Valentines Cakesicles or our Easter Cakesicles and loved them…but figured they required some high-end baking or confectionary skills! Not so. Molds provide the shape for your cakesicles and lend simplicity to any recipe.
To make a cakesicle, all you need to do is coat the mold in chocolate, fill it with your cake, then coat it again. (More or less!) No need for a five-star restaurant, no need for a pastry shop, and no need for some art-school-type sculpting skills. Molds do a lot of the work for you!

Cakesicle molds also come in a variety of shapes for any occasion! This means you can make cakesicles all year round, and you can get incredibly creative with what you cook up. They’re not a holiday-bound treat!

Looking for holiday cakesicle molds? We have those too! And honestly, they are our favorites!
If you want examples of what you can do with a cakesicle mold, here are some ideas…
The Best Cakesicle Molds & How You Can Use Them!
We consider ourselves something like cakesicle mold experts at this point. We’ve even collected all our favorite molds on our website! They’re easy-to-use, food-safe, and, honestly, just the most adorable things ever. Here are a few of the best cakesicle molds!
Popsicle Mold
Our popsicle mold is, essentially, our tried-and-true standard cakesicle mold. It’s in the shape of…well…a popsicle, kind of like an elongated, rounded rectangle. This mold may not seem exciting, but it’s perfect as a starting point for any decorations you can imagine. That means it’s versatile and usable at any time of year for any occasion and any holiday!
Gem Mold
With this gorgeous mold, you can make cakesicles in the shape of a long octagonal gem. While this would be the perfect mold to use at an elegant jewel-themed party (maybe with Luxe Glitter or Dust?), we also think it’d go over well at a kid’s birthday party. It’s gender-neutral and a perfect way to symbolize video games they love, like Minecraft or The Legend of Zelda…both of which use lots of gems!
Heart Mold
A heart cakesicle mold is another surprisingly versatile one! This is an obvious choice for Valentine’s Day, of course, but you can go wider with it, too. Think elegant cakesicles for weddings, a pretty pink birthday for your favorite little one, or even an “Alice in Wonderland”-themed event! (Queen of Hearts, anyone?!)

Unicorn Horn Mold
Unicorn-themed parties are all the rage as of writing, and even if they aren’t by the time you’re reading this, they should be again! A unicorn horn mold is a great way to keep up with the theme. As a bonus, you can use this mold, too, to create carrot-shaped cakesicles or even pinecones!
Easter Bunny Mold
We all enjoy the bunny-shaped treats that come out at Easter, so this bunny mold fits well with the festivities. Even if you don’t celebrate Easter, however, you can use this during spring just to bring in the season with something sweet! Get even more creative with it at Halloween time and make a little vampire bunny, like from the children’s books Bunnicula. All it needs: little candy fangs. Cute!
Make Something Adorable With Your Cake Popsicle Molds!
Now you know all about why using a cakesicle mold is the most important thing when it comes to making cakesicles.
