Back To School parties are our favorite! We are sad that summer is over but man, us mommas need a break! We had so much fun planning this modern Back To School Party using our Prep School sprinkles and coordinating party supplies.
It’s hard to believe but it’s already back to school time! Parent’s of the world rejoice! Whether it’s for a preschool or all the way up to high school, looking ahead to a new school year has lots of us wanting to host a back to school party this month! With these modern colors, how could we not?
We know a lot of our bakers and party planners are working on their treats already (looking at you custom teacher cookies) so today we’re sharing some back to school party ideas and supplies from the shop to help get those creative juices flowing. Although we have several favorite back to school inspired sprinkle mixes, today we’re taking our inspiration from our sweet sprinkles mix, Prep School. There’s just something about these modern sprinkles that just have our heart swooning!
Back To School Party Cupcakes
This colorful sprinkle mix really is the perfect start if you’re looking for modern back to school party ideas. It has the sweetest combination of royal blue, yellow, light blue and of course pink! Just one look at this mix and we are dreaming of fresh pink erasers and brand new notebooks. Top your party cupcakes with chocolate letters of the alphabet for a personalized decorating idea. In addition to these school cupcakes, some eraser cookies with each child’s name would be a fun idea for this theme! We can totally see that now.
Back To School Theme Party Supplies
Starting with our Prep School sprinkle mix color combination we were easily able to pair similar baking and party supplies from the shop. We chose royal blue BakeBright greaseproof cupcake liners to start because even a back to school party needs cupcakes! We love how the blue pops and pair so well with our sprinkles. Then we added a few stripes in the paper straws and goodie bags, they really say prep school! One of the best things about throwing a back to school party is you can actually use real school supplies and decor and as party favors. Send those kids home with some fun things you know they’ll need! We found coordinating yellow notebooks, scissors, and of course pink erasers.

We have a few more fun ideas to round up our back to school party post. Send your ‘students’ away with paper lunch sacks full of fun back to school goodies. It would be so fun to have custom lunch boxes or a lunch bag made for the party attendees with a customized report card and other school theme party games. You could even send home the little white milk cartons we used full of goldfish crackers and other small snack foods for their backpacks!
