What’s more adorable than a sweet little boy’s first birthday? A little man theme to go with it! We’ve only known little girl stuff for these last two years so this party has been so much fun!! We always have the first two birthday parties at home and the weather was awful – so inside it went!
The theme was reds, blues (both royal and aqua/teal) and grays and whites. With dots and stripe patterns all over. We wanted to do a little man themed but the whole mustache bash can be a little much. Instead, bow ties and neck ties into the planning and design was a great choice.
For the front door, we wrapped two foam wreaths with color matched yarn and attached the first initial on one and the number 1 on the other.
For the sweets we used our Dot and Stripe BakeBright greaseproof cupcake liners in Red, Aqua, Blue, and Gray and made coordinating bow ties as the toppers using a bow tie paper punch glued and placed on toothpicks. The topper was a graphic from the Silhouette Cameo web store attached to our Rugby Aqua Paper Straws. We also used the coordinating bow ties for the drink cups as well with an assortment of our paper straws.
Our new Little Man Sprinkle Mix would be the perfect addition to this party also!
For the desserts, we used color chocolate to pipe over some store bought krispie treats. So easy! The graphics were part of a set of our Party Printables.
The party favor cookies were from a local baker, Baked To Geaux, to match our party invitations. The party hat was drawn on our Silhouette with a large matching pom pom made with our pom pom maker. We use this thing all.the.time!
We bought the mustache whistles and bow tie balloons from Oriental Trading. We also looked for an assortment of balloons and other supplies to match the colors.
